Hi, I’m
As a preteen, I founded my first magazine. While it only lasted for one issue, that drive to create community through storytelling and creative direction never faded.
It followed me through my academic years studying Journalism, and then through my professional journey, which has spanned retail, agency, and experiential work. At times that passion manifested more literally, like when I started my own passion project Mag Club or a new newsletter series for work, and at other times it was a bit more abstract, like finding a way for hotel guests to experience ‘disruption’.
People naturally seek connection, whether with other people or even brands, but not every connection is built to last. My (slightly) unconventional career path provides me a complex understanding of branding and community, and the multifaceted ways they interweave together.
Not to mention, I can still accurately date a pair of vintage Levi’s from my retail days.

START SMALL
INDEPENDENTLY
START SMALL
Not literally small (unless that’s what you’re going for) but with a tight idea. Keep your main goal clear and simple before getting distracted with the (arguably) more fun parts.

BE CURIOUS
Ask questions not just in your brainstorm, but of the people around you. Who has the knowledge and skills you don’t? Who is seeing something you’re not?
HAVE FEELINGS
BE CURIOUS
Not just trusting your instincts and being human, but also caring about the project. Not every task needs to be a love letter, but a passion-less project won’t get you anywhere.
